What engineers make $500,000?

Senior engineers in specialized fields such as petroleum, aerospace, or software engineering can earn $500,000 or more annually, often through a combination of base salary, bonuses, and stock options. Achieving this level typically requires extensive experience, advanced skills, and often leadership roles or working in high-demand industries.

Salary depends on factors such as location, industry, and level of responsibility.

Is 40 too late to be an engineer?

Envelope engineering is a specialized field that typically requires technical skills and training, but age is not a barrier to entering the profession. Many engineers start or transition careers later in life, and gaining relevant certifications or experience can help. Success depends on individual skills, motivation, and continuous learning rather than age alone.
