Envases Ohio is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician (PMT) to take ownership of our high-speed Draw & Redraw (DRD) manufacturing equipment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving complex mechanical challenges, and takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.
As a PMT, you will play a critical role in maintaining equipment performance, supporting production goals, and ensuring we deliver high-quality food-grade packaging products to our customers.
What You'll Do
  • Operate, set up, and support high-speed Draw & Redraw (DRD) manufacturing equipment
  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Complete machine changeovers, tooling adjustments, and equipment setups
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical issues
  • Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Partner with Production and Maintenance teams to identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and quality documentation
  • Follow strict food safety, GMP, and safety standards in a regulated manufacturing environment

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-4 years of experience working with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or maintenance systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Hands-on experience with presses, tooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, or automated equipment
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Experience using precision measuring tools
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or related field
  • Experience with Draw & Redraw (DRD) presses or high-speed metal packaging equipment
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, and automated manufacturing systems
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, GMP requirements, or BRCGS standards

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 90% of the shift
