Job description

Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Inspector
Location: Boydton, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview
EPI Power is seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to support electrical construction activities on a major data center project in Boydton, VA. The QC Inspector ensures installations meet project specifications, codes, and quality standards while working closely with field and commissioning teams to drive quality, safety, and efficiency.
This position requires availability to work six days per week (typically Monday-Saturday) during peak construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect electrical installations (underground duct banks, cable tray systems, cable bus systems, wall rough-ins) for compliance with project specifications and NEC requirements.
  • Perform delivery and equipment inspections to verify condition and documentation.
  • Support inspections and testing of low- and medium-voltage cable installations.
  • Verify torque, termination, and workmanship of electrical equipment.
  • Document and track inspections using quality systems such as CxAlloy, Nexus, Procore, or ACC.
  • Coordinate with field, commissioning, and project management teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of electrical codes and compliance requirements.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and project specifications accurately.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of construction or field quality inspection experience (electrical preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience using Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent technical documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to relocate for future projects preferred.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience on data center or mission-critical projects.
  • Understanding of data center power distribution and critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with commissioning workflows, inspection processes, and turnover documentation.

Work Environment
Primarily a field-based role on active construction sites with occasional office work. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and during peak project hours as needed.
