Job Description
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician II position will advance the LGC Diagnostics and Genomics Division's purpose of understanding disease by supporting the manufacture of immunoreagent and precision diagnostic products. As a Technician II, it is expected to have advanced knowledge and skills of manufacturing small and large volume dispensed products. The role includes independently performing routine and non-routine filling and packaging operations for all product lines under Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)/ Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily manufacturing activities based on the production schedule.
  • Support validation of critical equipment.
  • Perform manual dispensing and kit assembly.
  • Operate automated filling equipment.
  • Complete manufacturing batch records and production documentation.
  • Support equipment maintenance and upkeep.
  • Support product complaints and technical production issues.
  • Perform workorder consumptions.
  • Promote a culture of safety.
  • Maintain a clean and safe lab environment.
  • Review and update standard operating procedures and production documents.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by management.
  • Travel Requirements: None
  • Schedule/Core Hours: Standard business hours are 8:30-5 pm Monday through Friday, however there is flexibility for adjustment outside of these hours.
  • Adherence to company Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policy

Qualifications
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience or an associate's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with at least 1 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with manual and automated filling equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with aseptic techniques.
  • Experience with dispensing small volume biological products using pipettes in a BSC.

Pay Transparency Statement (Maryland Applicants)
This pay range listed below represents entry level and high end of the anticipated salary range for the Maryland-based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as education, experience, and skills.
Starting-Minimum: $23.00/per hour
Maximum: $28.50/per hour
Entry level candidates and those who are already proficient and bring relevant experience may typically fall between $23.00 per hour and $25.00 per hour.
