Join Our Growing Team

Phoenix Flavors & Fragrances is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sample Lab Compounder to join our Fragrance Division. This position plays a critical role in supporting our Perfumery and Sales teams by accurately compounding fragrance oils and preparing customer samples and applications.

If you have experience working in a fragrance or flavor laboratory environment and enjoy working with formulas, raw materials, and creating high-quality samples, we would like to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Compound fragrance formulations by weighing, measuring, and blending raw materials according to approved formulas.
  • Read and interpret batch tickets and formulation instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Prepare fragrance applications, including candles, lotions, and other customer-specific bases.
  • Maintain retains and documentation for all samples produced.
  • Complete required transactions in laboratory and inventory management systems.
  • Monitor product quality and identify potential issues, including color variation or formula fallout.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials within the laboratory.
  • Follow all laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with Perfumers, Sales, and Laboratory personnel to support customer projects and deadlines.
  • Assist with additional laboratory functions and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Fragrance or Flavor Laboratory environment.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately measure, weigh, and compound ingredients.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
  • Proficiency with computer-based systems and laboratory software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive hand movements.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to safely work around fragrance chemicals and raw materials while wearing required personal protective equipment.
