Job description

Job Summary:

The Senior Associate - Resilience plays a key role in supporting and delivering advisory services that help clients anticipate, withstand, respond to, and recover from a wide range of operational, strategic, financial, and insurable risks. This role blends traditional insurance risk advisory capabilities with broader resilience disciplines, including enterprise risk management, crisis management, business continuity, and operational resilience.

Senior Associates work across the full engagement lifecycle-supporting proposal development, conducting risk and resilience assessments, developing analytical insights, preparing executive-ready deliverables, and engaging directly with client stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, comfort working across multiple risk domains, and the ability to translate complex information into practical, actionable recommendations for clients.

Job Duties:

Client Delivery & Engagement Support
Supports or leads components of client engagements across insurance risk advisory, enterprise risk management, business continuity, crisis management, and operational resilience
Participates in engagement planning, fact-finding, and execution, including document reviews, data analysis, interviews, workshops, and client meetings
Analyzes quantitative and qualitative client data to identify risk exposures, resilience gaps, and improvement opportunities
Develops high-quality client work products, including reports, executive summaries, presentations, risk frameworks, policies, and implementation roadmaps
Supports or facilitates client workshops, tabletop exercises, and crisis or continuity simulations
Tracks engagement progress, manages assigned tasks, and proactively communicates status, risks, and issues to engagement leadership
Leverages AI-enabled tools to accelerate data review, pattern detection, and synthesis of client risk information

Business Development & Practice Support
Supports proposal development, client pursuits, and marketing initiatives under the direction of practice leadership
Assists with identifying new business opportunities and expanding client relationships
Contributes to internal practice initiatives, methodology development, and knowledge sharing
Supports administrative aspects of engagements, including staffing coordination, billing support, and adherence to firm quality standards
Contributes to the development and adoption of AI-enabled methodologies, tools, and accelerators

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Interacts professionally with client personnel at appropriate organizational levels
Collaborates effectively with engagement team members across disciplines, geographies, and service lines
Builds strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, creative teams, and subject matter specialists
Contributes to a collaborative, high-performance team environment

Education
Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Communications, preferred
Master's degree, preferred

Experience
Three (3) or more years of work experience in communications, engineering, data sciences, risk or insurance, required
Professional client service and advisory experience, preferred
Familiarity with consulting methodologies, risk and resilience frameworks, and data-driven analysis techniques, including the use of AI and advanced analytics tools to support risk identification, scenario analysis, automation of data review, and development of actionable insights, preferred

Effectively handles firm and practice administrative matters, including engagement staffing, client billing, monitoring project economics and adherence to Firm quality standards and protocols.
Prefer general familiarity with the following insurance-related knowledge:
oPolicy review, contract interpretation, and insurance specification compliance
oClient advisory skills in premiums, retentions, limits, and total cost of risk
oRegulatory and industry knowledge related to commercial insurance programs
oClaims trend analysis, loss run review, and program performance monitoring

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $80,000 - $115,000
Maryland Range: $80,000 - $115,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $80,000 - $115,000
