Job description

JCW is recruiting on behalf of a well-respected specialty fronting carrier searching for an Insurance Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day oversight and administration of insurance programs written on carrier paper. The position offers broad exposure across underwriting, compliance, finance, claims, reinsurance, actuarial, and IT while supporting strong program governance, operational efficiency, and profitable growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the oversight of delegated underwriting programs by monitoring underwriting activity, referrals, exceptions, and facultative placements to ensure compliance with authority, contracts, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Maintain program documentation, underwriting guidelines, policy forms, and related exhibits while assisting with regulatory reporting, audits, data calls, and compliance requests.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and program partners to maintain reporting and dashboards, monitor program performance, identify operational gaps, and improve processes and data quality.


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in insurance, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience; internship or entry-level insurance experience is welcomed.
  • Foundational understanding of insurance concepts with a strong interest in underwriting operations, delegated authority programs, and program management; CPCU, AU, or CIC designation is a plus.
