Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Landscape Architect to join our Site/Civil department in our Gainesville, VA office to work on a variety of projects for clients within the private and government sector. Responsibilities
  • Be an active member of multiple design teams participating in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents and construction plans.
  • Prepare conceptual design plans for multiple project types including support graphics, and calculations to illustrate and support the design intent.
  • Design development plans and pattern books for projects requiring Comprehensive Plan, Rezoning, and/or Special Exception approvals.
  • Provide graphic illustration support for multiple project types and teams.
  • Conduct site analysis studies and prepare detailed written reports to summarize the findings.
  • Provide site/civil engineering support which may include grading design, erosion and sediment control, utility layout, stormwater management, and plan preparation
  • Provide landscape and hardscape design concept plans, supporting illustration graphics, construction drawings, and specifications.

Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.
  • Strong Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator, and Lumion skills required.
  • Strong AutoCAD, GIS/ArcView, and Microsoft office skills required.
  • Strong design and layout skills required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have proficient mathematic and engineering skills.
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate in a team environment.
  • Portfolio or work samples will be required to be considered for an interview.

Salary Range
The projected range for this position is $72,000 - $74,500 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
