The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an entry-level Planner I to join our Jacksonville office.


What You’ll Do:

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career planner to gain hands-on experience supporting planning and design efforts for Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal clients. You will join a collaborative, mission-driven team working on installation master plans, area development plans, and infrastructure strategies that contribute to resilient, sustainable communities supporting national defense. You’ll work alongside experienced planners, engineers, and designers to contribute to a variety of federal planning projects while building technical skills in geospatial analysis, land use planning, and visual communication.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with military master/facility planning activities in support various studies/plans.
  • Prepare site analysis materials including base maps, constraints mapping, and data summaries
  • Support the development of planning concepts and alternatives under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Contribute to graphic production including GIS-based maps, presentation boards, and report layouts.
  • Participate in internal team meetings and help prepare materials for client workshops and stakeholder engagements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated project delivery.
  • Help prepare planning reports, briefing slides, and meeting documentation.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, City & Regional Planning, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus but not required).
  • Up to 2 years of internship or work experience in a planning, design, or related professional setting.
  • Interest in federal or defense-related planning projects.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced team environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
