Job description

Associate Financial Advisor (Entry Level)

About the Role

We are hiring an Associate Financial Advisor to join our team directly out of college. This is a build-from-the-ground-up seat. You will work alongside experienced advisors, learn how real client relationships are managed, and grow into running your own book over time.

We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone who is coachable, genuinely curious about clients' lives, and willing to put in the years it takes to become a trusted advisor.

What You'll Do

  • Support senior advisors in preparing for client meetings, including account reviews, performance summaries, and financial plan updates
  • Sit in on client meetings, take notes, and own the follow-up items
  • Build financial plans in the firm's planning software under advisor supervision
  • Handle service work such as account opening, transfers, beneficiary updates, and client questions
  • Learn the firm's planning philosophy and investment approach
  • Begin developing your own relationships and prospecting activity as you gain experience
  • Study for and pass required licensing exams on the firm's timeline

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a financial planning and wealth management program
  • Internship experience in financial advising, wealth management, banking, or a related client-facing role
  • Strong written and verbal communication, since this job is mostly about explaining things clearly to people who are not in finance
  • Comfort with numbers and close attention to detail
  • Willingness to pursue Series 7, Series 66, and eventually the CFP designation
  • Interest in a long-term career in advising, not a stepping stone role
