Job description

Description
Are you a compassionate, confident communicator who knows how to build trust, guide decisions, and help people take meaningful action?
North Georgia Family Lawyers is seeking a full-time Client Engagement Specialist to serve as the first trusted point of connection for prospective clients navigating divorce, custody, child support, legitimation, modifications, contempt, and other family law matters.
This is not a cold-calling role, and it is not a transactional sales position. This is a high-trust, consultative opportunity for a professional who understands how to connect with people in emotionally difficult moments, uncover their needs, communicate value clearly, and help them move forward with confidence.
In this role, you will be the bridge between a potential client's first call for help and their decision to hire the firm. You will work with prospective new clients who have already contacted us and are seeking guidance, clarity, and a path forward.
We are looking for an attorney or experienced professional with a background in legal intake, client consultation, consultative sales, client engagement, admissions, or another relationship-driven role where trust, responsiveness, and sound judgment are essential. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, emotionally intelligent, persuasive without pressure, and committed to delivering an exceptional client experience from the very first interaction.
What success looks like in this role
The right candidate knows how to:
  • Build rapport quickly with people experiencing stress, uncertainty, and urgency
  • Ask thoughtful questions and actively listen for both spoken and unspoken concerns
  • Identify legal and practical needs at a preliminary level
  • Communicate next steps and realistic options with clarity and confidence
  • Present the value of legal representation in a way that feels professional, ethical, and client-centered
  • Help qualified prospective clients make informed decisions and move smoothly into retention and onboarding
  • Follow up consistently, manage the pipeline well, and maintain a high standard of client care throughout the intake process

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct structured consultations with pre-qualified prospective new clients
  • Clarify family law issues at a preliminary level and gather relevant information
  • Help prospective clients understand the firm's process, services, and value
  • Guide qualified clients through the retention decision with professionalism and empathy
  • Support a seamless onboarding experience for new clients
  • Maintain accurate notes, follow-up activity, and pipeline visibility
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members to ensure an excellent client journey from first contact forward

Ideal candidate profile
You may be a strong fit if you are:
  • A consultative sales professional who thrives in high-trust conversations
  • A legal intake or client relations professional with strong conversion skills
  • An attorney who enjoys client-facing work and excels at helping people make decisions
  • A service-minded professional who combines empathy, urgency, and accountability
  • Motivated by performance, but grounded in ethics, professionalism, and genuine care for clients

Preferred Strengths
  • Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills
  • High emotional intelligence and professionalism under pressure
  • Comfort discussing sensitive family law matters with empathy and composure
  • Confidence guiding decision-making without using high-pressure tactics
  • Strong follow-up discipline, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance client care with performance expectations and conversion goals

Why this role matters
Families contact our firm during some of the hardest moments of their lives. They need more than information. They need clarity, confidence, and someone who can help them take the next right step. In this role, your ability to connect, guide, and serve will directly impact both the client experience and the firm's growth.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $40,000 base salary + commission
  • On-target earnings of $90,000 to $120,000
  • Opportunities for performance bonuses
  • Paid training and ongoing mentorship
  • Professional growth within a mission-driven firm
  • Warm leads only - no cold calling
  • Flexible schedule, with remote/in-office hybrid possible for the right candidate
  • A collaborative, respectful, ethical, and high-performance environment
