Position

Roboticist/UAS Design Engineer

  • Location: Churchville, MD
  • Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
  • Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 Depending on Experience and Education

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Roboticist/UAS Design Engineer to support our Chesapeake Research Operation with Unmanned Aerial Vehicle design experience and a basic understanding of Human Machine Interfaces that can assist in the development of future technologies and support of our current series of unmanned systems.. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Roboticist/UAS Design Engineer

  • Researching and assessing new technologies applicable to our product roadmap and vision.
  • Supporting proposal development activities; brainstorming, conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping new systems.
  • CAD design and manufacturing drawing development; analyzing and implementing solutions; and validating systems through experimentation, testing, and evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications of Roboticist/UAS Design Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in Robotics or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and 1+ years of relevant experience. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; is you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

Desired Experience

  • Coursework and/or practical experience in robotics, automation, unmanned systems (UAVs in particular), prototype system development, SolidWorks CAD experience
  • PCB design / Altium Designer experience a plus
  • Computer Vision
  • C++, Python or other programming experience a plus
  • Experience with Defense systems a plus.
