Qualifications
  • Previous automotive dealership, parts, retail, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Interest in the automotive industry and willingness to learn automotive parts and dealership processes.
  • Familiarity with OEM electronic parts catalogs (EPC) is a plus.
  • Experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, or similar dealership management systems is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in both warehouse and service environments.
What You'll Do

As an Entry-Level Automotive Parts Counterperson, you'll support our service department, customers, and Parts team by helping ensure the right parts are available at the right time. You'll receive training and hands-on experience with dealership parts systems, inventory processes, and manufacturer procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist service technicians with locating and supplying parts needed for vehicle repairs.
  • Assist retail and wholesale customers with parts inquiries and orders.
  • Learn to identify and source parts using manufacturer electronic parts catalogs and dealership management systems.
  • Accurately process parts orders for customers and service technicians.
  • Receive, inspect, stock, label, and organize incoming inventory.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Assist with special orders, warranty parts, core returns, and customer returns in accordance with manufacturer and dealership procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organized inventory and storage areas.
  • Communicate parts order status and estimated arrival dates to customers and service personnel.
  • Recommend accessories and related products when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
