Job description

Confidential Search Solutions (CSS) is conducting a search on behalf of a leading utility company for a Data Entry & Records Specialist to support a temporary project lasting up to six months.

This position is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoys working with data, research, and technology. The selected candidate will assist with reviewing, validating, researching, and updating utility service line information while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and update utility service line records using multiple internal systems.
  • Research and verify property addresses, service line information, and installation dates.
  • Utilize mapping, work order, asset management, and billing systems to validate information.
  • Identify discrepancies and update records to ensure data accuracy.
  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets provided by the GIS department.
  • Research property information using online resources when needed.
  • Follow established procedures while maintaining organized and accurate electronic records.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with internal departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Previous customer service or administrative support experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities.
  • Ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Infor, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar software is a plus.
  • Experience with GIS, mapping systems, or records management is preferred but not required.
