Full-Time / Contract Support / TS/SCI Clearance Required 

Position Summary

GC2IT is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and support mission-critical Point-of-Entry systems deployed worldwide. The position combines software engineering, system design, cloud development, troubleshooting, and collaboration with program leadership and multidisciplinary technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and architect system enhancements and expansions using model-based design principles.

· Incorporate reliability, availability, and maintainability concepts into system designs.

· Plan and support execution of global system upgrades while maximizing system uptime.

· Collaborate with program leadership to prioritize work, establish development schedules, and support on-time delivery of features.

· Develop software that supports Point-of-Entry sites worldwide.

· Develop and optimize software development processes to maximize customer mission success.

· Rapidly troubleshoot and correct software discrepancies to maximize system availability.

Required Qualifications

· Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

· Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Relevant experience in software engineering and/or software development.

· Demonstrated experience with Java, Python, Node.js, JavaScript, and HTML.

· Experience designing and developing client/server architectures.

· Experience designing and developing cloud-based systems; AWS experience is preferred.

· Understanding of data transport concepts.

· Experience analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems involving program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience developing applications using a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.

· Experience integrating with third-party APIs.

· Experience integrating with peripheral devices.

· Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.

· Experience conducting multidisciplinary research and collaborating with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.

Security Clearance Requirement

Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
