Description
The Senior Software Developer is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of Deltek Costpoint and other applications that support enterprise financial and project accounting operations. This position requires deep technical expertise in Costpoint and other development frameworks, strong database and integration skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
โ€ข Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Deltek Costpoint and other applications supporting enterprise financial and project accounting operations.
โ€ข Develop and maintain custom Costpoint components including screens, processes, reports, and integrations using supported Costpoint development frameworks.
โ€ข Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects supporting Costpoint reporting and data integrity.
โ€ข Design and develop other programs as assigned according to business need.
โ€ข Support and enhance integrations between Costpoint and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., HR, payroll, reporting, data warehouses).
โ€ข Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues related to Costpoint performance, data accuracy, and system behavior.
โ€ข Partner with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical designs and scalable solutions.
โ€ข Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and application support team members.
โ€ข Support Costpoint and other program upgrades, patches, and version changes, including impact analysis, remediation, and post-upgrade validation.
โ€ข Ensure adherence to internal security standards, audit requirements, and compliance controls related to financial systems.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
