Job description

Prestigious and established firm serving clients in North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota is seeking an entry level associate to join the firm's litigation and business practice groups. The intent being that the successful associate candidate will eventually choose to practice in one of the two areas and gradually develop a practice of their own. The firm seeks to provide innovative legal solutions to its clients’ individual needs and goals in the modern legal landscape. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who is looking to learn and advance their career. This is a full-time position based out of the firm’s Fargo, North Dakota office. A license to practice law in North Dakota, or ability to obtain such license prior to start date, is required

Qualifications:

  • Must have a North Dakota bar license in good standing, additionally a license to practice in Minnesota and/or South Dakota is encouraged, but not required
  • Must have 0-2 years’ experience, which may include clerkship experience
  • Must have strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices
  • Must be proficient in conducting legal research
  • Must have excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
