Job Title

Wind Turbine Blade Repair Technician

Pay Hourly DOE +$140/Day Per Diem

Work Location Various locations across the USA โ€“ 100% Travel

Summary The Blade Repair Technician is responsible for wind turbine blades inspections, services or repairs. Technicians will be required to have skills in checking for blade damage and can perform necessary external and internal repairs to wind turbine blades. Qualified candidates will be working on various wind farms across the United States. Typical job deployments can last just a couple of weeks or may run as long as several months.

Job Requirements

ยท At least 2 years of wind energy experience in related field.

ยท Full life cycle blade repair experience that includes sanding, grinding, laminating, and experience performing internal blade repair duties.

ยท Working experience in a construction environment.

ยท Composite lamination experience as well as experience using polyester & epoxy resins.

ยท Familiar with aerial platforms, rigging, lifting devices, and tag lines.

ยท Conduct work in a safe and professional manner.

ยท Communicate effectively with teammates and customer

Physical Demands

Working in and around wind turbine projects can be a very demanding occupation. Employees must be able to perform the following.

ยท Ability to pass background check and drug screen

ยท Ability to pass respiratory fit testing requirements

ยท Lift up to 75lbs and work at extreme heights (up to 300ft)

ยท Ability to drive work vehicles in challenging locations i.e. snow & ice.

ยท Must be able to see and hear adequately in order to work safely in a construction.
