Overview

The Loader Operator will move material, stockpiling, and loading trucks. The Loader Operator is a full-time, seasonal position that may require travel and overtime with occasional weekends through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Operate loader moving material, stockpiling, and loading trucks for scaling.
  • Operate the loader in a safe and productive manner.
  • Complete pre- and post-shift inspection and other required paperwork.
  • Fuel, grease, maintain and help service other equipment.
  • Operate and maintain other equipment if needed.
  • Work well with crew members and take directions from the supervisor.
  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e., work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours).

Requirements

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
  • Use hand tools to maintain and repair equipment.
  • Transportation to and from work and travel to various job locations as needed.
  • Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal.
  • Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.
  • A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.
  • Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to reach below/at/above shoulders.
  • Pushing/Pulling/Twisting/Bending.
  • Sitting/Standing/Balancing.
  • Operate hand and foot controls.
  • Simple/Firm grasping/Pinching.
  • Ability to lift/lower/carry over 50 pounds.
