Job Description

As Scoutible's VP of Engineering, you will own and execute our company's technical roadmap, alongside an ambitious, all-star team who has each other's backs.ย The ideal candidate hasย expert knowledge ofย modern web technologies and frameworks, has built backend infrastructure and/or data pipelines, and has experience growing engineering teams shipping software products. Interest in data science, machine learning, and/or big data is a plus. Your role will involve hands-on coding balanced with engineering team management. As the team grows, aligning the vision and milestones we set forth as a team will be a primary focus.ย There is the opportunity for a significant equity stake for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Outcomes:

-Validate and manage the technical roadmap for Scoutible's products

-Determine post-MVP technical strategy, continuing to iterate on our current Python stack or start a new, greenfield codebase

-Lead the development of Scoutible's enterprise SaaS web platform

-Refine and execute the software development process, and enhance coordination between our technical teams (web, game, &ย data science)ย 

-Communicate our technical vision to clients and investors

Competencies:

-Commitment to technical best practices

-Communication skills with a focus on presenting technical issues to nontechnical audiences such as investors/customers.

-Track record managing engineering teams (experience scaling up small teams is ideal)

-Full stack web development and technical hiring experience

-Ability to define scalable, monitored, reliable SaaS architectures, including the evaluation of third-party service providers

-Thrives in a fast-paced environment as part of an ambitious, top-notch team
