POSITION OVERVIEWWill be responsible for providing technical support, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of applicable IT systems to promote and support operational efficiency. This position will also develop metrics to report on the use and performance of these electronic processes. In addition, this Developer position requires the employee to participate in university Internet and Intranet projects, analyze requirements, and design/develop dynamic Web-based solutions. The employee will coordinate with a wide variety of customers with varying levels of Web design experience. The job requires that the employee be forward looking in evaluating new technologies for applicability to UWF Web sites and be able to conform and assist with evolving UWF Web design standards.
Broad job knowledge typically obtained through professional entry-level certifications/credentials, advanced education or 1 year of work experience in a systems support role.
Working knowledge of client operating systems, particularly Microsoft Windows, with the ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and support desktop and laptop environments. Experience with enterprise endpoint management solutions, such as Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM), including software deployment, device provisioning, patch management, and endpoint inventory. Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Autopilot, and fundamental networking concepts. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and systems administration. Understanding of endpoint security best practices, including device hardening, encryption, antivirus/endpoint protection, and compliance policies. Ability to communicate effectively with technical staff and end users while working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems in an enterprise environment. Experience supporting Windows endpoints, mobile device management (MDM) concepts, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting. Familiarity with endpoint security technologies and modern device management practices. Two (2) years of professional experience supporting enterprise endpoint management solutions is preferred.
