ABOUT THE COMPANY

Rise Power Systems is a manufacturer-in-launch of UL compliant Industrial Solutions, Critical Power Distribution and Prefabricated Modular/Skid solutions. We combine structural and sheet metal fabrication expertise with purpose-built electrical assembly to deliver pre-engineered power infrastructure for data center, industrial, oil & gas, water/wastewater, and utility markets.


POSITION SUMMARY

Rise Power Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer expert in Codes and Standards to support the design, development, and delivery of advanced power distribution and control systems. This role will focus on both Industrial Solutions and Critical Power applications.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in power system design, strong knowledge of electrical standards, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. This position will be Hybrid Remote at our Location in Raleigh, NC. 


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and support electrical design work for compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Interpret and apply requirements from UL 62368-1, UL 508A, UL 891, UL 1558, UL 845, UL 50, and IEEE/ANSI C37 switchgear standards
  • Manage and support type testing and routine testing activities
  • Maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 testing requirements
  • Support UL WTP, UL DAP, UL follow-up services, UL MTR and overall, UL compliance activities
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and quality teams to resolve compliance issues and maintain certifications Support certification submittals, technical files, construction reviews, and ongoing product compliance documentation
  • Assist with nonconformance resolution, corrective actions, and continuous improvement related to compliance and testing

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 5+ years in a codes and standards role
  • Experience with electrical systems


PREFERRED

  • Experience with MCCs, switchgear, and PDUs
  • Familiarity with PDM, PLM, ERP, MCAD and ECAD systems
  • Background in EPC project environments as a buyer or supplier
  • Familiarity with modular construction or skid-mounted electrical systems
