Overview:

The intern will be required to work on project(s) relevant to CDMO analytical chemistry and present his or her project(s) at the end of the internship.ย 

Responsibilities:

As a analytical chemistry intern, you may be involved with multiple aspects of R&D, chemistry (including chemical handling and safety), analytical techniques, cGMP, pharmaceutical testing or other areas through orientation meetings, shadowing, and on the job training.

Qualifications / Skills:
  • Perform analytical testing utilizing established methods.
  • Utilize and properly maintain analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, etc.)
  • Use laboratory software systems such as Waters Empower for chromatography data analysis.
  • Maintain laboratory notebook.
  • Responsible for laboratory upkeep (supplies, chemicals, cleanliness, safety).
  • Safety training is required prior to entering any laboratory or production areas. This position works with and handles hazardous materials and wastes. Will be responsible for recognizing emergency situations concerning hazardous materials and wastes.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts across multiple departments, while maintaining a respectful work environment.
  • Provide oral presentation of work at the end of the internship.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: (Text Only)Must be a 2nd year student or above, currently enrolled in a BA/BS or MS degree program in Chemistry or related field.ย  Must have taken at least one semester of Analytical Chemistry with laboratory. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point is desirable. ย  Theoretical Understanding of some of the following analytical techniques is helpful: - Basic Laboratory Techniques (weighing, pipetting, measuring solutions, etc.) - HPLC and/or GC Chromatography - Karl Fischer Water Content - FTIR ย Employment Type: OTHER
