About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time Water/Wastewater Engineer. The position will be in our Water/Wastewater Group. The Water/Wastewater Engineer will assist with managing projects, developing business, serving clients, and designing pump stations, water, and wastewater projects. The successful applicant will be provided with a rewarding combination of design and business development assignments and excellent career development opportunities. We are seeking qualified applicants for our West Palm Beach, FL office.
What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job
  • Design of water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations.
  • Preparation of water and wastewater master planning reports.
  • Planning, review, and design of water and wastewater and general civil infrastructure improvements.
  • Develop, plan, and design potable water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Represent the company in client and agency meetings to resolve questions and to plan and coordinate work.
  • Work with department managers to develop department standards and complete peer reviews.
  • Represent the company at Professional organizations.

Education Requirement
  • B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater and hydraulic coursework

Must-haves, what you will bring
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in the design of water and wastewater projects.
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned office service areas (own transportation).
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) certification (i.e., passing the FE exam)
  • Exposure to creating and manipulating water/wastewater hydraulic models using Bentley Systems and Innovyze software products is desired.
  • Experience in the design and construction of mechanical piping and pumping systems is desired.

Compensation - The salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
