Water Treatment Apprentice / Entry-Level Water Treatment Technician

Carroll Water is a family-owned and operated company with more than 40 years of experience providing water well and water treatment solutions. Since 1983, we have served residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial customers with quality water treatment and well services.
We're looking for a Water Treatment Apprentice / Entry-Level Water Treatment Technician to join our growing team. No prior water treatment experience is required-we provide hands-on training and the opportunity to learn directly from experienced technicians.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop valuable technical skills and build a long-term career in a growing skilled trade.
What You'll Do
As a Water Treatment Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced technicians while learning the skills necessary to install, service, and maintain residential and commercial water treatment systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assist experienced technicians with the installation, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of water treatment systems.
  • Learn to work with equipment including water softeners, filtration systems, reverse osmosis systems, neutralizers, chemical treatment systems, and related equipment.
  • Assist with replacing filters and performing routine maintenance.
  • Collect water samples and assist with basic water testing.
  • Learn to use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely.
  • Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and job sites in a clean and organized condition.
  • Travel to customer homes and job sites throughout the service area.
  • Interact with customers in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  • Participate in weekend/on-call rotations as required.
  • Learn and utilize company technology and job documentation systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
This is a physically active, hands-on position. The successful candidate must be able to:
  • Regularly lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb.
  • Work in tight or confined spaces when required.
  • Work on uneven terrain and at residential and commercial job sites.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment.
  • Safely enter and exit company vehicles and transport tools and materials.
  • Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
