Entry-Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist to be based in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment that provides career growth opportunities within AECOMโ€™s Remediation Southeast Team. This position will consist of both in-person and virtual (telework) work environments and will include performing environmental contamination assessments, contamination remediation, plan reviews, and technical report writing. Our Remediation Southeast team primarily works on projects in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Supports AECOM projects in the areas of contaminated sediments, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation, environmental compliance, regenerative remediation and sustainability.
  • Collects and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Assist with field activities for data collection.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results.
  • Assist the senior staff with field oversight of remediation activities.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with supervision.
