River Valley Power & Sport is hiring an Experienced Powersports Service Technician to join our growing service team in Rochester. We're looking for a seasoned technician who can step into a busy shop, produce quality work with minimal supervision, and help us continue delivering exceptional service to our customers.
This is not an apprentice or entry-level position.
If you have experience as a Powersports Technician, Motorcycle Mechanic, ATV Technician, UTV Technician, Small Engine Mechanic, Marine Technician, Outdoor Power Equipment Technician, Automotive Technician, or Diesel Technician with strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, we'd like to talk with you.
Compensation
  • Annual earnings of $63,000-$85,000+
  • Competitive hourly pay plus billable hour incentive structure
  • Experienced technicians commonly earn the equivalent of $30-$40+/hour

What You'll Do
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, UTVs, snowmobiles, and personal watercraft
  • Perform preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, and advanced diagnostics
  • Troubleshoot engines, drivetrains, fuel systems, charging systems, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Complete customer-pay and warranty repairs accurately and efficiently
  • Install OEM accessories and performance upgrades
  • Collaborate with Service Advisors and Parts Specialists to maintain efficient workflow
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation and a clean, organized work area

What We're Looking For
Required
  • Previous professional technician experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
  • Small engine repair experience required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Personal tools and toolbox
  • Commitment to quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred
  • Powersports, motorcycle, marine, automotive, diesel, or outdoor power equipment experience
  • Dealership experience
  • OEM certifications
  • Experience servicing Can-Am, Polaris, Yamaha, Suzuki, Sea-Doo, or Ski-Doo products
  • Advanced electrical diagnostic experience
