Job description

CVW Event Productions, an industry leading event production company, is seeking a current college student or recent graduate looking to gain experience in the event industry. This three month paid internship from the beginning of September to the end of November, will help prepare the candidate for entry level positions in the field and will not offer college credit.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

This position will focus on all areas of production including virtual and in person events. Including but not limited to creation of broadcast quality virtual events, operating and producing meetings and webinars using video conferencing platforms, setup of screens, projectors, cameras, and all audio and video equipment, operation of this equipment, and tear down of this equipment. In addition, the intern will help with pre-production work needed to prepare for these events.

SPECIFIC GOALS TO BE MET:

  • Act as stage manager/remote conference technician on virtual events
  • Operate camera on live events
  • Perform audio setups
  • Set up all facets of projection including assembly of screen, and calibration of projector on events
  • Act as Video Technician on events
  • Act as a lighting technician on events, helping to set up and focus lights

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Gather camera operation experience
  • Learn industry pre-production practices
  • Gain projection knowledge
  • Learn audio areas of live production
  • Develop A/V skills in a real world environment
  • Learn lighting areas of live production

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS:

Weekend and nighttime work is required, but will be scheduled in advance. Business casual dress is acceptable while in the office, but CVW "show" dress is required when on show locations. Intern will be prompt in arriving at the office or show location on-time. Intern will conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
