Job description

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is seeking an eager and adaptable professional to join the team as our new on-call Event Manager in Constitution Hall!This position will provide operational and client support for events in Constitution Hall from move-in through event completion and move-out.This position is designed as a flexible, cross-functional role encompassing both client-facing event coordination and operations-focused technical execution. It is suited for both entry-level candidates and seasoned professionals.An ideal candidate will bring a 'role up the sleeves' attitude and a 'hands-on' style to complete objectives.Position Responsibilities:Serves as the venue representative for event organizer, production staff and vendors; addressing day of event requests and ensuring client needs are fulfilled.Provides support for event execution, including move-in, setup, event operation, and move-out.Ensures compliance with venue policies, procedures, and safety regulations.Provides assistance in the supervision and coordination of contracted services, including ushers, security, stagehands, and janitorial staff.Assists with the setup and operation of lighting, sound, and video systems.Job Requirements:Experience in event production, theater, venue operations, hospitality, or a related field preferred.Relevant internship, college-level event experience, or hands-on production experience considered.High school diploma requiredA basic knowledge or willingness to learn staging, lighting, sound, and video systems.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing event needs.Effective interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels.Able to work in both office and event space settings, which can include large crowds, loud noise, bright lights, and theatrical haze. Schedule: Varied schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, extended work hours and extended numbers of days.Hiring Hourly Rate Range: between $25.00 to $30.00 per hour As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we are committed to building and retaining a team that represents a variety of skills, experiences, and perspectives.  All employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements, performance, and qualifications without regard to race, religion or belief, national or ethnic origin, gender/sex (including pregnancy), age, physical, mental, or sensory disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, marital or domestic partnership status, veteran and military status, family or parental status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
