Job description

  • Design and produce digital solutions for the CCAC website, portal, mobile app, and other ITS platforms using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
  • Ensure all digital platforms comply with WCAG 2.2 and ADA accessibility standards, conducting both automated and manual testing.
  • Provide consultation, guidance, and training to content owners and departments regarding accessibility best practices.
  • Maintain and update CCAC's digital brand standards and accessibility checklists in collaboration with the web operations team.
  • Review and remediate PDFs and other digital documents for accessibility using Adobe Acrobat and related tools.
  • Test and validate accessibility using assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation tools.
  • Collaborate with marketing, ITS, and content stakeholders to ensure brand and accessibility consistency across all platforms.
  • Identify and resolve accessibility barriers across digital platforms, documenting solutions and maintaining process guidelines.
  • Participate in UX/UI reviews to ensure digital designs prioritize inclusive and user-centric experiences.
  • Support accessibility reviews of third-party tools and integrations used across the website, portal, and mobile app.
  • Communicate proactively with content owners to provide updates on accessibility improvements, design changes, and new digital resources.
  • Perform other related duties as required or as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide design and accessibility consultations for faculty, staff, and administrators in relation to digital content including the website, internal portal, and mobile application. 
  • Create and maintain user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles for accessibility and design standards.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of digital accessibility policies, style guides, and design systems.
  • Maintain the colleges Flipping Book software. 
  • Advocate for inclusive design principles in branding, content strategy, and user interface development.
  • Participate in accessibility-related professional networks, conferences, and forums to share knowledge and insights.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position will be required to report to any CCAC location to provide the necessary support.
