The UX/UI Designer will join a Global Design group that contributes to a range of product and strategic initiatives by participating in every aspect of the design process, from discovery and ideation, to prototyping, testing, iterating and product launch. 

The position is based in Toronto and may require some international travel to other CITCO locations. The UX/UI Designer will report to the Design Director, and interact with business stakeholders, and technical groups

About You: 

  • You are passionate, creative, and detail oriented system thinker and visual designer that enjoys working in a fast-pace program that leverages the Agile delivery process
  • Able to apply design principles to complex problems (from ideation to detailed design)
  • Bachelor's Degree in HCI, Design, or similar discipline, or the equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficient with prototyping tools such as Figma, FigJam, or alternatives 
  • Prior relevant experience as a UX/UI Designer or equivalent is required
  • Experience in the financial services industry is highly desired

Salary Range: CAD $95,000 - CAD $125,000

Your Role:

  • You will deliver UX/UI activities through prototypes, wire-frames, user-flows, service blueprints, and high-fi designs
  • Create research driven, compelling user experiences and bring them to life with exciting visual design
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing specifications
  • Be an analytical thinker and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems
  • Translate business problems and ideas into clear design tasks and communicate these to product/platform owners, engineering and end-users
  • Advocate for prioritization of design-centred changes, refinements, and improvements
  • Ability to operate in an iterative mode with light documentation when required
