Responsibilities:

  • Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
  • Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.
  • Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs.
  • Conceive and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes

 

General Skills:

  • Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance
  • Experience as a UX designer, interactive designer, UI designer, or similar role, designing for web and mobile applications
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools
  • Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of web development technologies
  • Experience in designing online programs with emphasis in the emotional aspects of human experience

  • The ability to lead the design of complex digital services from concept to production and the ability to draw on your expertise to develop and maintain a high bar for user experience standards and performance measures
  • Demonstrated experience creating design deliverables such as mood boards, collaboration boards, empathy maps, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes 
  • Experience with Figma, XDstudio is a must 
  • Experience coding in HTML, CSS and JavaScript is an asset 
  • Ability to communicate designs in clear and understandable manner, present recommendations and provide advice to the stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience creating deliverables such as design blueprints, information architecture, presentations and reports. 
  • A solid understanding of generative and evaluative user research methods and how user research can be incorporated continuously in the digital product lifecycle 
  • Hands-on experience creating user research plans, recruiting participants, facilitating user research, analyzing findings and delivering insights 
  • Synthesize research findings into insightful and concise user research documents, such as user journey maps, personas, service blueprints, and affinity maps. 
  • Experience researching and applying industry best practices to support your design deliverables 
  • The ability to incorporate web analytics, visitor feedback, performance metrics and other data to inform design decisions 
  • Practice providing rationale for design decisions in group settings with multiple stakeholders 
  • Experience with Figma, XDstudio is a must
