Job description

Company Introduction

S2B Inc. is the parent company of TrueMods.com. We design, source, and sell our own lines of aftermarket automotive parts and accessories, with a focus on lighting, across our own website and major marketplaces. We control the full customer-facing presentation of every product we launch, from the first listing image to the instruction manual in the box.
We are a small team working on-site in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Everyone here owns real work and sees it reach customers.
About the Role

We are looking for a full-time, in-house Graphic Designer to produce the visual content behind our products. Most of the work centers on getting new products to market: the imagery that sells them on every listing, the specification graphics that explain them, and the instruction manuals that ship in the box. You will also maintain our product catalog and create marketing material such as web banners and social content.
AI is a working part of this job. We use AI image generation as a production tool, and we are looking for someone who is strong with it and has the craft to produce the same result by hand when the tool falls short. If that is not how you like to work, this probably is not the right fit.
You will work directly with our Marketing Director on creative direction. You draft, the two of you discuss and refine, and once a design is approved it becomes the template the rest of the team works from. This is a design role rather than a template-filling role, though final creative direction stays with the Marketing Director.
Attributes

The following are attributes one must have to excel in this position:
  • COLLABORATIVE - to draft, discuss, and revise design work with the Marketing Director, taking direction well and iterating without friction.
  • ORGANIZED - to prioritize your own workload and keep multiple projects on track with limited supervision.
  • CONSTRUCTIVE - to bring a proposed fix when something in the workflow is not working.
  • PRECISE - to keep specification images and instruction manuals accurate, since both reach the customer directly.
How We Work
We are a small team, and we are not rigid about how work gets done. If you find a better way to work, we want to hear it. If it takes a new tool or subscription, we will buy it.
There is no scripted career ladder here. New capabilities tend to go to whoever wants to take them on. For example, we do very little video today. If that changes, it goes to whoever raises their hand. We would rather grow someone into a bigger role than bring in someone new.
As your workload builds, our junior designer is there to help with repetitive execution, so your time goes where your judgment matters.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and produce product imagery for our listings, including specification images, lifestyle imagery, and supporting visuals compiled to spec
  • Produce instruction manuals: trace and build the technical diagrams, then compile them with prepared write-ups into finished PDFs
  • Maintain and expand our product catalog, including building it into a reusable InDesign template for future editions
  • Design marketing material such as web banners, social media content, and campaign creative consistent with our brand guidelines
  • Check completed design work against approved templates for accuracy
  • Take on other in-house creative work as assigned
Qualifications
Required
  • 4 or more years of professional graphic design experience, in-house or agency
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Technical illustration and tracing ability for instruction manuals and product diagrams
  • Demonstrated production use of AI image generation in real client or employer work, with the ability to produce the same output by hand
  • E-commerce product imagery experience
  • Able to work full-time on-site in Rancho Cucamonga, CA
  • Portfolio required at application
Preferred
  • UI design experience
  • Product design or concept drawing ability
  • Video editing with Premiere Pro, After Effects, or AI clip generation
  • Catalog and print layout experience
  • An automotive enthusiast with hands-on experience working on or modifying cars
About the Job
  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
  • $26.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Hourly, non-exempt
  • On-site at 9866 7th Street, Unit 110, Rancho Cucamonga, CA
  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Benefits
  • Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • Short-Term Disability Coverage
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
