Overview

This position is responsible for writing and developing course contents to deliver information to employees in an engaging, efficient, and effective manner. This includes working with subject matter experts to identify content suitable for inclusion in electronic courses; designing course components and course outlines based on a needs assessment, developing, managing, and maintaining written documentation of procedures to further support content delivered through online courses; and development and maintenance of the content on the Learning Management System. This role works closely with the subject matter experts delivering instruction in the classroom to develop and design training courses and deliver them through various learning technologies.

Salary range for this position is $79,173.90 - $92,563.38 with a progressive benefit package. 


Responsibilities

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed, and are subject to change:

  1.  Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.
  2. Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
  3. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  4. Ensures confidentiality of member information.
  5. Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  6. Meets with subject matter experts and the learning and development team to identify content that is best delivered through electronic courses and e-learning platforms.
  7. Identifies critical course objectives by working closely with subject matter experts, evaluating the needs, goal and outcome of the course objectives.
  8. Works as content liaison for change management for the credit union, organizing change information into consumable content for LMS l or other learning technologies.
  9. Ensures content is organized, reliable, accurate, and relevant.
  10. Presents the framework design/s to the end user with description of the idea meant to be communicated.
  11. Packages course content for media design electronic course content and flow.
  12. Provides reports and verifies that finished courses meet the objectives specified by subject matter experts.
  13. Assists in developing engaging electronic courses to reinforce critical concepts, enhance transfer of knowledge, and aid knowledge retention.
  14. Verifies that finished courses meet the objectives specified by subject matter experts.
  15. Acts as an administrator for the Learning Management System.
  16. Monitors, refreshes and updates content to keep employees engaged through the Learning Management System.
  17. Maintains document tags and metadata to optimize search functionality in the Learning Management System.
  18. Assists with the creation of written training documents, learning aids, handouts, and PowerPoints for use in instructor-led training sessions.
  19. Identifies, promotes, and evaluates innovative ideas for delivery of electronic content using all systems and software available.
  20. Seeks out opportunities to create efficiencies in the delivery of content to employees.
  21. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in learning and development, learning technologies, or instructional design is strongly preferred.
  2. Three to five years of experience in a training and development, learning technologies, instructional design or a closely related field required.
  3. Experience with Learning Management System software and Articulate 360 or other courseauthoring software preferred.
  4. Understanding of learning theory or instructional design process is preferred.
  5. Resourceful and well organized with the ability to execute multiple projects concurrently within required timelines.
  6. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  7. Experience working in project management with subject matter experts is strongly preferred.
  8. High scanning accuracy with extreme attention to detail.
  9. High quality standards with a focus on quality over quantity.
  10. Resourceful in finding additional resources to assist with content development.
  11. Thorough understanding of creative commons licensing, attribution rules, and copyright law.
  12. Stays current with emerging electronic training design and adult learning theory.
  13. Self-directed nature, ability to work independent of supervision with responsibility for direction, control, or planning of new projects.
  14. Creative and adaptable with good problem-solving skills.
  15. Experience with or knowledge of marketing theory or strategies desirable.
  16. Must be bondable.

This position reports to the VP Strategy & Org Effectiveness.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is not responsible for the supervision of other employees.
