THE ROLE
We are seeking recent graduates and early-career candidates to join our team as Junior Marine Technicians as part of a shared support model across multiple locations, including the Florida Keys, Turks & Caicos, and U.S. Virgin Islands.
You will be based in the Florida Keys, supporting day-to-day fleet operations locally while traveling regularly to assist across our Caribbean markets—working across multiple Caribbean destinations and combining hands-on technical experience with the benefit of working in paradise.
This is a hands-on opportunity to build foundational experience across multiple tropical locations and fleet environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist in diagnosing and repairing marine engines, including either inboard diesel or outboard gasoline systems
- Gain hands-on exposure to platforms such as Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, and/or diesel systems depending on assignment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, fluid services, impeller replacements, and zincs
- Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical systems, bilge systems, and instrumentation
- Conduct pre-season and post-season commissioning/decommissioning across fleet
- Coordinate parts procurement, maintain parts inventory logs, and manage vendor relationships on-site
- Support haul-out coordination and work with boatyard partners as needed
- Document all service work in maintenance logs; update fleet status reports daily
- Communicate proactively with on-site operations managers and coordinate with shore-based fleet management
- Maintain a safe, organized mobile work environment; comply with all OSHA and marine safety standards
- Respond to urgent vessel breakdowns and service calls during deployment windows
- This role requires travel (~50%) across multiple locations
- Primary base: Key West
- Regular travel to:
- U.S. Virgin Islands
- Turks and Caicos
- Typical deployment structure may include rotational assignments (e.g., 2 weeks on-site / 1 week in base market) depending on operational needs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision across remote locations
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Valid passport with at least 6 months validity; must be able to meet entry requirements for assigned international destinations
- Physically capable of working in marine environments (lifting 50+ lbs, confined spaces, heat and humidity exposure)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Recent graduate of a marine, mechanical, or technical program preferred
- 0–2+ years of hands-on experience (internship/training acceptable)
- Basic understanding of marine engines or mechanical systems
- Exposure to outboard engines preferred
- Foundational knowledge of 12V systems is a plus
- Technical certifications or coursework in marine/diesel mechanics
- Internship or hands-on training experience
- Interest in multi-location marine operations
- Competitive base pay aligned with experience and entry-level market rates
- Relocation Asisstance
- Tool Allowance:
- Career development and hands-on training opportunities
