Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping a community running smoothly? As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You'll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety.
In this position, you'll be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional service to our residents located at our 156 unit senior and or disabled community in Decatur, IL. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career while making a positive impact in the community. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
  • Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
  • Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
  • Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
  • Other duties as assigned

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE:
  • $19.00-$21.50 /hr.
  • Annual Performance Bonus
  • This position is Non-Exempt, meaning eligible for overtime pay

This range is provided as a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, geographical location, and the specific responsibilities of the role. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Final compensation offers will be determined following a thorough assessment of the candidate's background and the requirements of the position.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Affordable housing experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
