Machinist Manual Boring Bar | $26-30 per hour | Monday-Friday / 6 am-2:30 pm

Job Description
As a skilled manual Machinist with experience operating Manual Delvig boring bars or CNC Toshiba boring bars. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, the ability to interpret blueprints and commitment to producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate manual or CNC boring bars to produce precision components
  • Measure and inspect finished components using measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations, dimensions and tolerances
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure they operate efficiently
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Be fully knowledgeable in workholding and clamping for milling, drilling, tapping, and boring utilizing a horizontal manual boring bar
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, micrometers, and a ruler to produce parts.
  • Be familiar with different alloy materials and the tooling, speeds, and feeds required for machining the different alloys
  • Possess the math skills to calculate angles, bolt circles, and any other equations required to accomplish machining tasks
  • Have your own tools that accommodate setup, deburring, tool changing, and measuring for all phases of operation.
  • Be proficient in the use of overhead cranes
