Job description

Adecco Staffing is working with a manufacturing company in Nashua, NH to bring on a Sheet Metal Machine Operator. This is an entry-level opportunity for candidates with exposure to a manufacturing environment who are comfortable using hand tools and looking to build hands-on experience in sheet metal and machine operation.

Position: Sheet Metal Machine Operator
Shift:
• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay: $18.00 per hour (2nd shift includes a $2.40/hour differential)

Duties / Responsibilities
• Operate sheet metal equipment including laser punch press machines, press brakes, hardware insertion machines, and drills
• Perform hardware insertion, grinding, drilling, and countersinking operations
• Load machine programs and make basic offset adjustments as needed
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and geometric tolerances
• Inspect parts to ensure quality and accuracy
• Run multiple jobs efficiently to support on-time delivery
• Follow all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures
• Communicate issues or concerns to the team lead or supervisor
• Maintain a clean and organized production area
• Complete operator preventative maintenance during shift
• Support daily production by identifying and communicating process issues
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 0–1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Entry-level candidates with hands-on manufacturing exposure encouraged to apply

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
• Basic understanding of machining or sheet metal processes preferred
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow written work instructions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage time and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic Microsoft Office experience; CAD/CAM or SolidWorks exposure is a plus

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.40 per hour
