Key Responsibilities:

Network Support & Maintenance

  • Assistin the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and VoIP systems
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi)
  • Support the setup and maintenance of user network access, VLAN assignments, and IP configurations
  • Monitor network performance and escalate issues to senior administrators as needed

Security & Compliance

  • Helpmaintainnetwork security byassistingwithfirewallrule updates, patching, and intrusion detection monitoring
  • Assistin implementing security best practices and compliance standards
  • Support antivirus, endpoint protection, and network monitoring tools
  • Participate in periodic security audits and remediation activities

Monitoring & Documentation

  • Monitor network alerts, system logs, and performance dashboards
  • Update network documentation, diagrams, inventory lists, and procedures
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of incidents, resolutions, and configuration changes

Technical Support

  • Respond to help desk tickets related to networking, connectivity, and system access
  • Assistusers with VPN access, Wi-Fi connectivity, and general network questions
  • Support office moves, adds, and changes (e.g., cabling, hardware setup)

Projects & Collaboration

  • Participate in network upgrade projects, hardware refreshes, andnew technologyrollouts
  • Work with senior IT staff to test, deploy, and optimize new network solutions
  • Engage in cross-functional projects involving systems, security, and infrastructure

Professional Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor'sdegree ininformation technology, Computer Networking, or related field; or3+ yearsequivalent experience

Qualifications

Required

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
  • Familiarity with network equipment from vendors such as CiscoorUbiquiti
  • Experience with Windows or Linux environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred

  • CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar entry-level certification
  • Experience with ticketing systems, network monitoring tools, or SIEM platforms
  • Understanding of firewalls, VPN technologies, and wireless networks
