Maplewood Auto Service is a locally owned, full-service independent auto repair shop in Maplewood, MN. We've invested heavily in modern shop technology, including digital vehicle inspections and integrated payment systems. We treat our team like adults, pay fairly, and run a clean, organized shop.

Open Roles

  • Lube Technician / Entry-Level Tech

  • B-Level Technician

  • A-Level Technician / Master Technician

  • Service Advisor / Writer

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles (foreign and domestic, light-duty)

  • Perform digital vehicle inspections and document findings with photos

  • Complete repair orders accurately and on time

  • Communicate clearly with the service advisor on additional needs and ETAs

  • Keep your bay, tools, and the shop clean and organized

  • Stay current on training, OEM updates, and diagnostic procedures

What We Require

  • Minimum 2 years of professional, full-time experience as a mechanic. Hobbyist or shade-tree experience does not qualify. Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Your own basic hand tools (we provide diagnostic equipment, lifts, specialty tools)

  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and TSBs

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to show up on time

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check

Bonus Points For

  • ASE certifications (any series)

  • Experience with Tekmetric, Mitchell 1, AutoVitals, or similar shop software

  • Hybrid/EV experience

  • Diagnostic specialty (drivability, electrical)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Hmong)
