Job description

SDR- Entry Level Tech Sales

Kipsu is a Minneapolis-based growth-stage technology company with over 100 team members and a bold mission: to help service professionals Meet the Moment. From partnering with the worldโ€™s leading hospitality brands to working with multifamily and healthcare providers, Kipsu empowers service teams to connect with their customers in meaningful ways.

Our best-in-class technology streamlines real-time messaging, surfaces actionable insights, and drives smarter workflowsโ€”ultimately transforming what it feels like to give and receive great service. Recognized by the Star Tribune as a Top Workplace, weโ€™ve built our reputation on a strong culture, a long-term view, and a relentless focus on impact.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Weโ€™re seeking a high-energy Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Enterprise Hospitality team. In this role, youโ€™ll help accelerate Kipsuโ€™s growth by identifying and engaging new prospects across the hospitality industry. Through outbound calls, emails, and social selling, youโ€™ll generate qualified opportunities and partner closely with our sales team to advance them.

Kipsu provides hoteliers with a new way to engage guests through real-time digital channelsโ€”enabling them to intercept feedback, elevate service, and build lasting human connections. As an SDR, youโ€™ll play a critical role in sharing this story with the market and opening the door to relationships that transform the guest experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Prospect and engage potential customers through calls, emails, and social selling.
  • Generate high-quality opportunities and set meetings for the sales team.
  • Research accounts and decision-makers to personalize outreach.
  • Consistently hitโ€”and exceedโ€”monthly activity and opportunity targets.
  • Clearly communicate Kipsuโ€™s value and core capabilities at a high level.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to refine messaging.
  • Stay curious: keep learning about hospitality trends, competitors, and best practices.
  • Jump in to support projects outside your lane when neededโ€”we win as one team.

WHAT WEโ€™RE LOOKING FOR

  • High-energy and professionalโ€”you thrive in fast-paced, goal-oriented environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resilient and persistentโ€”comfortable handling rejection and keeping momentum.
  • Motivated to grow a career in sales, with a drive to exceed expectations.
  • Naturally curious and eager to go deep on an industry or topic.
  • Adaptableโ€”youโ€™re comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) a plus.
  • Kipsuโ€™s Core Values resonates with you and aligns with your personal values

The base pay for this role starts at $45,000/yr. The pay structure for this role is base pay + commission. The total annualized on-target earnings (OTE) for this position is: $70,000-$80,000+/yr.

One Last Thing- at Kipsu, we know our future depends on building a vibrant and diverse team. We actively seek talent of all identities and backgrounds, and weโ€™re intentional about creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. We invite you to roll up your sleeves and join us on our journey.
