Build a Career That Protects What Matters Most

Sales Consultant – Small Business | ADT

What if your next sales role paid well and actually mattered?

At ADT, we’ve been helping protect lives and livelihoods since 1874. Today, as the #1 smart home and business security provider in the U.S., we do more than sell technology — we deliver peace of mind to families and business owners every day.

If you’re looking for a career where your work has purpose, your income reflects your effort, and your growth has no ceiling, this is it.

Put purpose behind your paycheck.
Protect what matters.
Build a future you’re proud of.

Why Join Our Sales Team?

Our Sales professionals are the front line of our mission. You’re not pushing products — you’re becoming a trusted advisor to small business owners who rely on you to help protect their people, property, and livelihood.

Here, sales success is rewarded, effort is recognized, and top performers move fast.

What You’ll Do

As a Small Business Sales Consultant, you’ll own your territory and help business owners protect what they’ve worked hard to build. You’ll deliver customized solutions, build long‐term relationships, and drive real impact every day.

Build Trust & Close with Confidence

  • Meet face‐to‐face with small business owners, decision‐makers, and operators to understand their security needs and goals.
  • Present tailored security, automation, and life‐safety solutions that fit how their business runs — not a one‐size‐fits‐all pitch.

Design Smart, Customized Solutions

  • Evaluate business layouts, operations, and risk factors.
  • Design systems that combine intrusion protection, video, access control, automation, and life‐safety technology.

Own the Full Customer Experience

  • Partner closely with installation and support teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
  • Conduct post‐installation follow‐ups to confirm expectations were met, strengthen relationships, and generate referrals.

Grow Your Business

  • Prospect and generate new leads within your territory.
  • Manage your pipeline, follow up consistently, and close deals that create real value for customers and income for you.

What You Need to Succeed

We’re looking for driven, relationship‐focused sales professionals who want more than just a job — they want growth, income, and purpose.

You’ll thrive here if you are:

  • Self‐motivated and goal‐driven with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Confident and consultative, able to ask great questions and guide customers to the right solution
  • Comfortable with technology and CRM tools in a fast‐paced environment
  • Adaptable and coachable, with a desire to improve and win
  • Customer‐focused, with integrity and follow‐through at the center of how you work

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel within a designated territory using your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
  • Additional licensing may be required based on location
  • Sales experience preferred, but not required — we provide industry‐leading training

How ADT Invests in You

Compensation That Rewards Performance

  • Uncapped commission — your income reflects your effort
  • New Sales Consultants can expect to earn ~$85,000, with top performers earning $150,000+

Paid Training & Support

  • Up to $4,000 during your first 8 weeks of training
  • World‐class sales training, onboarding, and ongoing coaching
  • Proven tools, technology, and sales processes to help you win

Benefits & Perks

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Short‐ and long‐term disability, life insurance, and well‐being programs
  • Paid time off
  • Flexible scheduling to meet customer needs
  • Clear career paths and advancement opportunities

Why You’ll Love Working at ADT

  • We lead with purpose — protecting people isn’t a slogan here, it’s our mission
  • We win together — teamwork, trust, and accountability drive our success
  • We develop leaders — performance opens doors to long‐term career growth
  • We embrace change — innovation, improvement, and bold thinking are encouraged
