Bilingual Collections Representative (English/Spanish)

Location: Onsite

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Full-Time

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Bilingual Collections Representative to join a growing team. This role is responsible for managing primarily early-stage delinquent accounts (1–30 days past due), securing payment commitments, and helping customers find payment solutions while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have prior phone-based collections experience, strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, and the ability to balance customer service with collection performance goals.


Key ResponsibilitiesCollections & Customer Service
  • Contact customers by phone and written communication to collect past-due payments.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and secure payment commitments.
  • Assist customers experiencing financial hardship by providing appropriate payment solutions.
  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused experience while resolving delinquent accounts.
  • Conduct inbound and outbound collection activities while maintaining compliance standards.
Account Research & Skip Tracing
  • Research delinquent accounts when customer contact cannot be established.
  • Review account information and customer records to locate updated contact details.
  • Contact references and utilize approved resources to identify and verify customer information.
  • Maintain accurate customer demographic and account information.
Portfolio Management & Performance
  • Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts while meeting productivity and quality goals.
  • Monitor account activity and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Support portfolio performance through effective collection strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify process improvements and communicate recommendations to leadership.
  • Provide feedback on training materials and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple departments to ensure a consistent customer experience.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of customer service and/or collections experience
  • Recent phone-based collections experience required
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Basic computer and data entry proficiency
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Pay and Benefits
