Location:ย Show Low Unified School District
Calendar:ย 152 days / 8 hours per day (32 hours per week; Full-Time)
Pay Range:ย $15.30 per hourย to $18.30 per hour





Position Overview:
The Paraprofessional provides support to students and teachers in the classroom. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and assisting in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment. The Paraprofessional will work under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher and assist in managing classroom activities, providing support to students, and maintaining a productive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Classroom Support:
    • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing daily lessons, activities, and routines.
    • Help with setting up materials, organizing the classroom, and preparing resources for lessons.
    • Support students in completing tasks and activities, providing individual or small group assistance when needed.
    • Monitor students during classroom activities to ensure focus, engagement, and positive behavior.
    • Provide academic support to students, reinforcing lessons and helping them understand instructions.
  2. Student Support:
    • Provide one-on-one support to students who need additional assistance, including helping with assignments, reading comprehension, and math tasks.
