The Opportunity
As a Specialized Tax Services - Energy Incentives & Credits Senior Associate, you will provide tax advice and solutions to clients in complex and niche areas of taxation, such as accounting methods, fixed-assets, and research and development tax credits. Within our Tax practice, you will focus on helping businesses navigate intricate tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. As a Senior Associate, you will build meaningful client connections and learn how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, grow your personal brand, and deepen your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, and deliver quality work. Embracing increased ambiguity, you will be comfortable when the path forward isn't clear, asking questions and using these moments as opportunities to grow.
In this role, you will respond effectively to diverse perspectives and needs, using a broad range of tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve problems. You will develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing, while upholding professional and technical standards. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can enhance your skills and contribute to impactful client solutions.
Responsibilities
- Providing specialized tax advice and solutions in niche areas such as accounting methods and research and development tax credits
- Navigating complex tax regulations to optimize client tax positions and strategies
- Analyzing intricate tax structures and modeling to inform client recommendations
- Collaborating with clients to understand their tax needs and develop tailored solutions
- Interpreting tax legislation and policy to guide clients in compliance and planning
- Utilizing analytical thinking to break down complex tax concepts and generate insights
- Developing and maintaining meaningful client relationships to enhance service delivery
- Mentoring junior team members to foster professional growth and technical skills
- Upholding professional and technical standards in line with firm guidelines and independence requirements
- Engaging in continuous learning to adapt to changing tax environments and client needs
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment (Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity).

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $214,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
