Job description

Job Objective:
The System Administrator I at Harvest Midstream Company is an entry-level role focused on providing day-to-day support for end users, basic administration of Microsoft Office 365 services, and assistance with routine system maintenance. This position emphasizes learning and applying foundational IT skills, including account provisioning, password management, and monitoring of system health. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of supporting the IT team by ensuring smooth daily operations and timely resolution of support requests.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in administering and supporting Office 365 applications such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive at the user level.
  • Perform basic user management tasks, including account setup, password resets, and license assignment.
  • Support implementation of standard security measures, such as enforcing password policies and MFA enrollment under supervision.
  • Provide routine Active Directory support, including user provisioning, group memberships, and printer/server access requests.
  • Respond to help desk tickets, offering frontline Office 365 troubleshooting and escalating complex issues.
  • Provide basic training assistance, such as walkthroughs for Teams and OneDrive use.
  • Perform basic monitoring tasks, reporting unusual activity or outages to senior staff.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Travel: Requires travel to Harvest field and office locations approximately 25% of the time.
  • Analyzes Helpdesk statistics to recommend long-term actions to decrease incidents or reduce resolution time (i.e. recommending training, changing manufacturers to increase meantime between failures, etc.)
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
  • Communicates effectively (written/verbal) with technical and non-technical audiences, possesses strong interpersonal skills, is self-motivated, and is innovative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Office 365 applications, including advanced features and capabilities.

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for Office 365 automation.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex Office 365 issues.

Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Associate Degree in Information Technology related field plus two (2) years of experience as a System Administrator or in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities.

  • Five (5) years of experience as a System Administrator or in an IT role with the same or similar job responsibilities.
