Job Description
HII's Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. We are actively looking for a Facilities Operation Specialist. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise-Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations.
The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments. Due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required.
Facilities Coordinator 2: $55,000 - $70,000
Facilities Coordinator 3: $60,500 - $80,000
Facilities Coordinator 4: $75,200 - $105,000
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and operate facility security systems and processes for access control (ACS), intrusion detection (IDS) and electronic surveillance (ESS)
    • Operate Avigilon (ESS) in support of facility operations and security manager directed investigations
  • Monitor, test and report status of security system to the Command Security Manager.
    • Conduct semi-annual test per ICD-705 requirements
    • Respond, assess, troubleshoot, repair and/or triage security system components as needed
    • Report deficiencies and outages with Security Manager and Facility Ops
  • Perform routine system maintenance, repair and modernization of system components to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 operation.
    • Replaced faulty sensors and components
    • Assess impact from emergencies and outages providing status updates to security manager and facility ops.
    • Identify modernization opportunities and recommendations for contracts
  • Coordinate with the Command Security Manager, Network engineers, Information Security Manager and Security Specialist as required to manage security system networks and components.
    • Works with cross-functional teams to optimize
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of physical security equipment and devices such as assess control boom gates and turnstiles with the building manager.
    • Make limited scope assessments on deficiencies to the above-mentioned equipment
    • Maintain and operate facility access badge equipment.
    • Handle limited-scope repairs
    • Prepare purchase request for replacements
  • Assist with annual physical security inspection of facility compound and building perimeters.
    • Action security manager directed requests associated with ESS and IDS systems in support of Physical Security Inspections
  • Support configuration management of facility data closet equipment related to behind the wall voice/data infrastructure from the communication closet to the wall port
    • Maintain patch panels from to wall for Voice / Data
    • Assign, move and Change passwords and phone numbers as requested
  • Provide written reports as required.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and repair with system administrators, network managers and engineers.
  • Administer and control the issue of unclassified voice handsets and perform minor system maintenance in coordination with the system administrator, network manager and engineers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Must have basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment and possess a basic knowledge of construction principles.
  • Must possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and work independently.

Level Requirements
  • Level 2: High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Level 3: High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Level 4: High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.

Preferred Requirements
  • Technical school education preferred.
  • Two (2) year maintenance experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
