The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia, has an immediate opening for a Storeroom/Warehouse Clerk.  We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and motivated person to join our team.  This position is challenged for ensuring best inventory practices are maintained, including spot checks and periodic inventory audits as well as cost control measures. 

This position is a 4-day on, 4-day off shift and each shift is a 12-hour shift.  This is an entry-level position and a great way to get your "foot in the door" of a great place to start your career!  We also offer a weekly production bonus.


  • The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for overseeing the receiving and stocking of storeroom items, and ensuring receiving paperwork is filed in a timely manner
  • Reports directly to the Storeroom Supervisor
  • Determination of inventory stock levels
  • Perform other duties as required
  •  

  • Working knowledge of mechanical/industrial products and good analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop a cooperative work relationship with employees and vendors, both internally and externally
  • Previous experience with inventory database systems, setup, and management is a plus
  • Forklift certification (Training provided by SWVA to be certified during employment) 
  • Wearing metatarsal steel-toe boots 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • On your feet most of the time
  • Climbing stairs, stocking/restocking
  • Assisting other employees
  • Keeping up with inventory daily 
  • Working 8 to 12-hour day and night shift
