Warehouse Associate

Well known aviation service and supply company has an opening for a Warehouse Associate in its Houston office. Established since 1985, the company provides analytical testing services, chemicals, and aircraft parts and supplies to regional airlines, corporate flight departments, and general aviation. The small company has more than 26 employees in two locations, with annual sales over $10 million. The office location is in northwest Houston, near the convergence of Loop 610 and 290.

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will be part of the warehouse team involved in stocking and inventory control, shipping and receiving, production, cleaning and organizing, etc. Additionally, the selected candidate will occasionally provide support to the Laboratory Technician in a lab adjacent to the warehouse. We are an aviation related company, which follows all of the detailed guidance from various governmental entities, so attention to detail is absolutely essential. This is an entry level position.

Although a relatively small company, we offer a professional, results-driven environment coupled with a compensation and benefits package that includes hourly wage, medical and dental insurance, life insurance and a 401K program. This position reports directly to company Warehouse Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year experience working in a warehouses, inventory, production, supply chain, shipping/receiving, and facilities.
  • Provide support for cycle counts and inventory control
  • Experience working with shipping and receiving is a plus
  • Hazmat training/expertise is a plus. If you don't have this type of certification, we may provide it to you.
  • Fork lift certification is a plus. If you don't have this type of certification, we may provide it to you.
  • Must be able to lift 50-pounds.
  • Firm commitment and dedication to achieving positive results in a team environment
  • Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills are required
