Smithfield is seeking an AI Enablement Analyst to support the adoption of approved AI tools across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, and enterprise analytics teams. This entry-level role will help business users apply AI to practical day-to-day work, including reporting automation, workflow improvement, prompt development, documentation, training support, and responsible AI usage.

The role is designed for a recent college graduate or early-career professional who is highly curious, organized, analytical, and comfortable learning emerging technologies. The analyst will work closely with the Data Analytics & AI team to help scale AI adoption in a safe, governed, and business-value-focused way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

AI Adoption & Enablement

  • Support business teams as they learn to use approved AI tools such asMicrosoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power BI, Databricks AI capabilities, and other enterprise-approved platforms.

  • Assist with AI office hours, training sessions, demonstrations, and small-group enablement workshops.

  • Help translate business problems into clear AI use cases, prompts, process maps, and repeatable workflows.

  • Create simple, practical examples that show employees how AI can reduce manual work, improve analysis speed, and improve documentation quality.

Prompt Library & Knowledge Management

  • Build and maintain reusable prompt templates for common business activities such as variance explanations, meeting summaries, SOP creation, Power BI documentation, SQL support, Excel analysis, and reporting commentary.

  • Organize AI best practices, job aids, FAQs, and internal guides in Teams/SharePoint.

  • Help maintain a searchable AI knowledge base with approved examples, use cases, lessons learned, and reusable assets.

Use Case Intake & Workflow Documentation

  • Support intake of AI use case ideas from Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, Marketing, Legal, and other functions.

  • Document current-state workflows and identify opportunities where AI may reduce manual effort or improve consistency.

  • Assist with basic process mapping, requirements gathering, and benefit tracking.

  • Prepare use case summaries for review by the Data Analytics & AI leadership team.

Governance, Risk, and Responsible AI Support

  • Help maintain an AI use case registry, prompt library inventory, and lightweight lifecycle documentation.

  • Support documentation of responsible AI practices, including data handling, human review, validation steps, and escalation paths.

  • Ensure AI enablement materials reinforce Smithfield's expectations for data security, confidentiality, accuracy, and appropriate use.

  • Partner with senior team members to ensure AI use cases align with internal governance, audit, and compliance expectations.

Adoption Metrics & Reporting

  • Track AI training attendance, office hour participation, prompt library usage, use case pipeline activity, and adoption feedback.

  • Help create dashboards or scorecards that show AI enablement progress, business engagement, and productivity opportunities.

  • Gather user feedback and summarize recurring questions, friction points, and training needs.

Business Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Assist analysts and business users in applying AI to routine work such as report documentation, meeting recaps, data quality checks, dashboard explanations, and recurring analysis.

  • Identify repetitive support tasks that could be turned into self-service guides, prompts, automations, or standard templates.

  • Stay current on emerging AI capabilities and summarize relevant updates for the team.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Other Experience: 2 years of professional AI-related experience preferred; internships, co-ops, analytics projects, or coursework.

  • AI & Automation Interest: Strong interest in artificial intelligence, analytics, automation, and business process improvement, with basic familiarity using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.

  • Organization & Attention to Detail:Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Technical & Microsoft 365 Proficiency: Comfortable working within Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.

  • Collaboration & Work Environment:Ability to work in an in-office setting and collaborate directly and effectively with cross-functional business teams.

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Experience withPower BI, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Databricks/Snowflake, SQL, Python, or Excel advanced formulas.

  • Familiarity with finance, supply chain, manufacturing, or food production business processes.
