Description
SCHEDULE: Full-time; 40 hours per week; Monday- Friday
The MRI Technologist operates the MRI scanner to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. Based on departmental needs, performs diagnostic X-ray exams, and shares in departmental work. The MRI Technologist will maintain a thorough understanding of radiology procedures, anatomy, and medical imaging technology to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. The MRI Technologist will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective diagnostic evaluations using advanced imaging modalities.
This position is supported by grant funding that allows for flexible recruitment and retention incentives. These may include relocation assistance, hiring bonuses and retention incentives, all of which are negotiable based on candidate needs and experience. Please note: Incentives are structured in accordance with grant guidelines and do not include student loan repayment. This position is supported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of a financial assistance award totaling $209,040,063.71 with 100 percent funded by CMS/HHS. Requirements
Satisfactory completion of radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Current MRI certification by the ARRT. Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or receive within 30 days from date of hire. Minimum of one year of experience as an MRI Technologist required; additional experience preferred. Must have good working knowledge of positioning, anatomy, medical terminology, radiation exposure and physics. Ability to learn new systems and prioritize work. Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
